As Donna Haraway writes in Staying with the Trouble,

“Sympoiesis is a simple word: it means ‘making-with.’ Nothing makes itself… Sympoiesis is a word proper to complex, dynamic, response, situated, historical systems. It is a word for wording-with, in company. Sympoiesis enfolds autopoiesis and generatively unfurls and extends it.”

sympoeisis studio draws on this worlding-with, through inter-creative-praxis, engaging in the questions:

  • how might we approach world-making & home-making, across species, with tenderness & honesty?

  • how might we practice living with care & collaboration in the face of climate chaos, ecological collapse, and rising fascism?

  • how might we use creativity as a practice to cultivate our capacity to attune to grief & love?
